It is with sadness that the passing of Wayne B. Turner of Overland Park, Kansas is shared. Wayne, born on May 28, 1957, passed away on July 2, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Wayne will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. Friends and family will honor Wayne by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence he had in their lives. Though Wayne is no longer present, the bonds he created and the experiences shared will endure. Wayne’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew him.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Hilda M. Boehm and Warren B. Turner. He is survived by: his daughter Michelle Turner Thompson; his son-in-law Tony Thompson; his daughter Julie Turner; his grandson Tatum Lockhart; his sister Cassandra Kinney; his brother-in-law Don Kinney; and his former wife Anna Turner Sloan. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to Herbel School of Accountancy at Kansas State University, Monarch Hospice in Overland Park, or Red Tail Academy: a 501 (c)(3) in Kansas City with the mission to create opportunities to expose, educate, and mentor underrepresented youth (ages 12-18) in the aviation field.
