She was predeceased by: her parents, Espy Hemphill and Leota Hemphill (Conley); and her husband James VanDeest. She is survived by: her sons, Dirk VanDeest (Izabela) and Drake VanDeest; her grandson Geordie VanDeest (Rosie); and her great grandchildren, Aubree, Bentley Johnson and Declan VanDeest.
Memorial contributions may be made to the William Newton Hospital Auxiliary, donations may be left in the care of the funeral home.
