Sharolyn Mathews Obituary

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Hugh R. Higgins and Virginia P. Higgins (Crabill); her children, Edward (Shelly) of Statesboro, GA, John of Corbin, KS, Mark (Sandy) of Wellington, KS and Leila Walker of Arkansas City, KS; her siblings, Robert Higgins of Wellington, KS, Glenda Irving of Niangua, MO and Jan Hodson of Valley View, TX; her grandchildren, Tricia Cook, Anson Mathews (Sarah), Chris Mathews (Kamber), Tiffany Wallut (Jason), Sharolyn Knight (Bryant), Desiree Mathews and Isaac Mathews (Rea); her great grandchildren, Colton Cook, Lakin Hansen, Chase Mathews, Preston Hearlson, Jadin Hearlson, Kori Mathews, Riley Mathews, Brody Mathews, Zaden Mathews, Katie Howell, Charlie Saunders, Scout Saunders, Corbin Wallut, Alec Wallut, Jonah Knight, Micah Knight, Thomas Knight, Roman Mathews and Emmaline Mathews; her great great grandchildren, Carter Hansen and Gemma Hansen; her husband George Mathews; and her grandson Loren Hearlson.

A graveside service was held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Oxford Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Sumner County Humane Society and sent in care of the mortuary.
