He is survived by: his mother Judith Ann Mitchell (Trenary); his wife Kimberly Houk; his sons, Dakota Ray Mitchell (Alyssa) and Hunter Tyler Mitchell; his grandchildren, Savanna Flemming and Lilah Mitchell; and his brother Ernest Ray Mitchell (Dedra). He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Ty Mitchell Scholarship fund at USD 358; donations may be left in the care of the funeral home.
