He was predeceased by : his parents, John Cook and Dorothy Cook (Mitts); and his brother Leonard Cook. He is survived by : his children, Shannon Roseberry (John) and James Shawn Cook; his grandchildren, Mason, Holden, Dalton Roseberry, Michael and Kelsey Cook; and his siblings, John Cook, Jr., Larry Cook, Charles Cook, Carol Mignot, Donna Locke, Connie Ward and Vicky Carson.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 15th 2024 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the Paola Chapel (305 N Pearl St, Paola, KS 66071). A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 16th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the same location.
