It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joyce Aileen Wassmer of Paola, Kansas, who passed away on October 7, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Mansfield and Lola Mansfield; her husband Larry; her son David; her grandson Joshua; and her brothers-in-law, Glen Hibberd and John Wassmer (Suzanne).
She is survived by: her sisters, Shirley Confer (Bruce) of Oklahoma City, OK and Anita Hibberd of Grand Junction, CO; her children, Paul (Rebecca), Kathy Healey and Mark (Spica); and her daughter-in-law Mary Kettler (Mark). She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Dengel & Son Mortuary - Paola (305 N Pearl St, Paola, KS 66071). A rosary will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church (501 E Chippewa St, Paola, KS 66071). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location.
