It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Monta C. Ruiz (Paola, Kansas), who passed away on July 10, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ona Lewis and Grace Okla McPherson (Cooper); her siblings, Ona Lewis McPherson, Jr., Mary McPherson Ledesma and Frances Jones; her daughter Tammy Sue White; and her grandchildren, Anthony Chirstopher Macias and Esmeralda Hernandez.
She is survived by: her children, LeEtta Wilson (Russel) of Wellsville, KS, Richard Truitt, Jr. (Rhonda) of Spring Hill, KS, Carol Hernandez of Kansas City, KS, Christopher Beasley (Malinda) of Spring Hill, KS and Michael Moles (Rebecca) of Olathe, KS; and her grandchildren, Rachel Davis, Danielle Julliano, Aaron Ayers, Kristen Lowery, Melissa Macias, Tara Burgat, Dustin Truitt, Amber Knox, Ashley Carlson, Devin Gaston, Cody Beasley, Jacey Chaffey, Alene Moles and Quinn Moles. She is also survived by 29 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Calendar Dengel & Son Mortuary - Paola (305 N Pearl St, Paola, KS 66071). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Wanette Cemetery.
