He was predeceased by: his parents, Clayton Staum and Mary Ellen Staum. He is survived by: his wife Shelly Staum; his children, Janna Staum and Derek Staum; his stepchildren, R. J. Trumbly (Jenny) and Lora Trumbly; his grandchildren, Kayden Ditch, Urijah Ditch, Kyndall Christiano, Noah Trumbly, Grant Trumbly and Jordan Trumbly; and his siblings, Scott Staum (Kelly), Dawn Staum, Danny Staum and Candace Petersen (Kelly).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to the Paola Fraternal Order of Eagles.
