Joyce M. Thompson of Paradise, Kansas, born on August 25, 1933, passed away on September 29, 2026. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James D. Howe and Lillian G. Howe (Steventon); her husband Arthur "Art" N. Thompson; and her brother Ben Howe. She is survived by: her children, Brett Thompson (Bonnie) of Paradise, Kansas and Trisha Barenberg (Joe) of Graford, Texas; her sisters, JoAnn Moore of Panama City and Janet Ralston of Waxahachie, Texas; and her sisters-in-law, Carolyn Howe of Thurman, Sue Heitschmidt (Rod) of Grand Prairie and Florence Thompson of Russell, Kansas. She is also survived by six grandchildren and two great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary (610 N Maple St, Russell, KS 67665). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Paradise Valley Grace Church.
In lieu of flowers, family requests donations to the Waldo Senior Center or Paradise Pride for an historical monument in her honor.
