He was predeceased by : his parents, Harlan Shields and Pearl Shields (Drummond); and his brothers, John, Everett, Harley and Wayne Leroy Shields.
He is survived by : his wife Madolyn Ann Shields; his son Eric; his daughter-in-law Lori Shields of Wichita; his daughter Stephanie; and his son-in-law Marc Anton of Newton. He is also survived by four grandchildren.
