He is survived by: his children, Tom O'Hara (Christina) of Parsons, Debbie Groves (Steve) of Grove, Kathy Madl (Terry) of Grove, Beverly Schoenhofer (Jon) of Parsons and Brenda Johnston (Brian) of Parsons; his sisters, Jo Ruttgen of Oswego and Cathy Woolard (Gary) of Oswego; and his grandson Payton Allen. He is also survived by Eight grandchildren, Eight great-grandchildren.

The family has requested memorials to Gentiva Hospice.
