He was predeceased by: his parents, Ora Jackson Sr. and Ruth Maxine Stafford Ritchie; his wife Theresa Leah Messersmith; and his siblings, Ora Ritchie Jr., Harold Ritchie Sr., William Ritchie, Stanley Ritchie and Gary Ritchie.
He is survived by: his son Maurice Ritchie of Pawnee Rock; and his siblings, Dennis Ritchie of North Carolina, Virgil Ritchie (Penny) of Lewis, Christenia Page, Jeanne Vratil of Larned and Sondra Seeley of Wichita. He is also survived by four grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
