She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Keith Hamm and Virginia Irene Hunter Hamm; and her sisters, Jeanette Kaye Elliott (Hamm) and Julie Lynn Thornton (Hamm). She is survived by: her husband Gary Pearson; her sister Jo Guletsky (Alex); her sons, Darin Pearson (Tara) and Daryl Pearson (Tori); and her granddaughters, Debbie Bolin (Josh), Nellie Pearson, Brielle Pearson, Paige Pearson and Brynna Pearson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Janis's honor to the Jefferson County Hospice or the Williamstown Assembly of God.
