She was predeceased by : her parents, E. B. Smith and Annie Smith (Simons); her husband Paul Nix; her daughter Misty Redinger; and her siblings, Judy, Ronnie and Donnie.

She is survived by : her children, Nicholas Nix (Sammi) and LaDonna Stice (Jacob); her siblings, E. B. Smith Jr., Pam Rogers (Ed), Patsy Turner and Nelda Massey; her grandchildren, Devon, Sydnee Redinger Annabelle, Thomas, Jasmine, MacKenzie Kester, Olivia Halatek, Justice Stice and Maci Nix; and her great grandchild Jonathan. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Margaret Nix Memorial Fund.
