She was predeceased by: her parents, H. C. Bland and Sophia Bland (Boswell); her brother Robert; her sister-in-law Leota "Penny"; her former husband Gus Carpenter, Jr.; Galen Carpenter, Ken Pierce and Greg Allen.
She is survived by: her nephew Mark Bland; her nieces, Frances B. Furry, Carolyn B. Williams, Marian B. Overstreet and Carpenter; and her caregiver Arlene Edwards. She is also survived by many cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Greenwood County 4-H Foundation or to the Beaumont Community Association.
