He is survived by: his wife Norma Brainard of Pierceville, Kansas; his children, Monica Koehn (Bruce) of Garden City, Kansas, Steven Brainard of Missouri, Lorrin Brainard of Kechi and Richard Brainard of Dodge City, Kansas; his grandchildren, Madison Neeb (Jakob) and Braeden Koehn; and his sisters, Susie Ashcraft and Beverly Willems.
