He is survived by: his spouse Beverly Engle; his children, Jared Peterson (AnnDee Peterson), Jennifer Huff (C. J. Huff) and David Longan (Haley Longan); his grandchildren, Mariah Williams, Madison Williams, Savannah, Keaton, Julianne Huff, Lily, Jack Peterson and Brenlee Longan; his brothers, John Peterson and Paul Peterson; his uncles, Bill Taylor (Kate Taylor) and Bob Peterson (Dixie Peterson) of Nashville, MO; his mother-in-law Margaret Engle; and his sister-in-law Barbara Todd (Loren). He is also survived by two nieces and one nephew.
