David leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. David’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew David will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Chloe Russell and Thomas Victor Russell (T. V.). He is survived by: his wife Elenore; his children, Christy Altaratz (Ethan), Karen Russell (Scott Leff) and Mike Russell (Leslie); his niece Sonia Pat Steele; his sister-in-law Ann Hollingsworth Lynch; Elaine Gragg. He is also survived by nine grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church (415 N Pine St, Pittsburg, KS 66762).
