She was predeceased by: her parents, Ira Darrell and Nellie May Pontious (Janssen); her husband Roy Lee Surridge of Straus; and her brother Alvin Eugene Pontious. She is survived by: her brothers, James Leroy Pontious of Pittsburg and Loren Pontious of Winfield; and her niece Lucinda Comstock of Winfield. She is also survived by three grand nieces and two grand nephews.
In lieu of flowers it is suggested that contributions be made to Order of Eastern Star Olive Chapter #13 of Ft. Scott.
