It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eleanor Louise Mahnken (Pittsburg, Kansas), who passed away on April 10, 2023, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John L. Mundt and Louise Mundt (Grotheer); her husband Alfred F. Mahnken; her siblings, Erna Jakolat, Olinda Mundt and Raymond; and her son-in-law Dave Pittaway.

She is survived by: her children, John (Lois Anne) of Fort Scott, Kathryn Richard (Larry), Arma, Ruth Lauterbach (Dean), Donna Pittaway of Kansas City, KS, Lois Ziesenis (Tim), Carl Mahnken (Hope) and Pittsburg. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery Fund or The Lutheran Hour local broadcast (c/o Zion Lutheran).
