We announce the death of Helen Toburen of Pittsburg, Kansas, who passed away on August 24, 2026, at the age of 87. Helen will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, C. Bernard Ziegelmeier and Wilma L. Ziegelmeier; her brother Donald Ziegelmeier; and her children, Chris Toburen and Penny Hill.
She is survived by: her husband Nelson Toburen; her daughter Leigh Johnston (Vince) of Pittsburg; her grandson Steven Hill (Heather); her children, Asher, Esther, Eden, Judah and Noelle of Bentonville, AR; her grandson Mark Hill (Tara); her children, Jeremiah, Hadlee of Owasso, OK and Jessica Johnston Dreiling (Grant); and her grandchildren, Kip, Creed, Wyatt of Carl Junction, MO, Kyle Johnston and Chase Johnston. She is also survived by ten great grandchildren.
