He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Swartz and Nora Lee Storie Swartz; his son Johnathan Troy Swartz; and his brothers, Charles, Kenneth, Carl and Jackie Swartz.
He is survived by: his wife Rita Swartz; his children, Nathan Swartz (Tiffani) and Kimberly Swartz; and his grandchildren, Colton, Allana, Michael Quigley, Braelyn and Hayden Swartz. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Brenner Mortuary Chapel (114 E 4th St, Pittsburg, KS 66762). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Patriot K-9, and may be left in care of Brenner Mortuary, 114 E. 4th St., Pittsburg, Kansas, 66762.
