She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Sale and Evelyn Sale; her son Ronald Wheat; and her brother James Sale. She is survived by: her son Dwayne Wheat (Jan); and her grandchildren, Angie Baker, Kenneth Baker, Adam Baker and Lucas Dean.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be given to the American Diabetes Association.
