With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marie Elizabeth Miller of Pittsburg, Kansas, who passed away on February 5, 2026 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Marie had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Marie may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Pete L. Fornell and Elizabeth Fornell (Bugni); and her husband Donald P. Miller of Barbara's Catholic Church. She is survived by: her children, Donald R. Miller (Marla) of Hutchinson, KS, Kenneth J. Miller (Tammy) of Tonganoxie, John C. Miller (Kelly) of Emporia, Kansas and Karen J. Miller of Olathe, Kansas; and her sister Margaret J. Fornell of Pittsburg. She is also survived by six grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be given to Sacred Heart Catholic Church and/or the Chicopee Foundation.
