She was predeceased by: her mother Margaret S. Chaffee (Browne); her husband Don; and her siblings, Russell O. Chaffee, James Wallace Chaffee, John Chafee, Sarah Helen Chaffee, Elizabeth Anne Fritz, Catherine Chaffee and Peggy Heather.
She is survived by: her children, Steven Donald Tompkins of Pittsburg, Janet Martha Sifuentes (Bill) of Pittsburg and Deborah Margaret North of Topeka, KS.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Brenner Mortuary (114 E 4th St, Pittsburg, KS 66762). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be given to the Presbyterian Church, Fort Hays State University Scholarship Fund, or PSU Music Department Scholarship Fund.
