We are sad to announce that on June 25, 2025, at the age of 92, Shirley Ann Thomas of Pittsburg, Kansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Walter Frederick Shannon; and her husband James E. Thomas of Marshall. She is survived by: her mother Virginia Lee Shannon (Burroughs); her sisters, Kathryn "Kay" Lou Bay (Shannon) and Carol Lee Miles-Love (Shannon); her sons, James W. Thomas (Laurel) of Edmond, OK and Timothy E. Thomas (Patti) of Manhattan, KS; her grandchildren, Joanna, Jake, Timothy, David, Shannon and Jonathon Thomas; and her great grandchildren, Bailey, Coley, Keely, Grace, Tyler, Asher Thomas and Maura Kiefer.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 7th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Campbell-Lewis Chapel (226 S Odell Ave, Marshall, MO 65340). A burial will be held on Monday, July 7th 2025 at the Ridge Park Cemetery (780 E Yerby St, Marshall, MO 65340). A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 8th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church (520 N Pine St, Pittsburg, KS 66762).
In lieu of flowers the family asks expressions of sympathy to be in the form of memorials to the James and Shirley Thomas Scholarship Fund or P.E.O. Chapter AQ Education Support. Friends may drop off or mail memorials to Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home, 226 S Odell Ave, Marshall, MO. 65340.
