He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Couse and Eleanor Couse (Carr); his son Jason; his brother Jimmy Couse; his son-in-law Dan Christiansen; his grandson A. J. Couse; and his great grandchild Titan Harmon.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Hollar of Plainville; his children, Cindy Westberg (Kim) of Wausau, WI, John Couse (Lisa) of Plainville, Catherine Klein (Mike) of Plainville, James Couse (Tonia) of Palco, Barbara Balthazor (Max) of Palco, Jacqueline Lawver (Don) of Olathe, KS, Justin Couse (Darcy) of Lucas, KS, Jessica Quanz (Rod) of Glade, KS, Joseph Couse (Bethany) of Stockton, Jennifer Gaines of Wichita, Janell Couse of Plainville, Jerrod Couse (Sarah) of Palco, Jeremy Couse of Plainville and Christina Couse of Hays, KS; and his siblings, Gary Couse (Carol) of Abilene, TX, Richard Couse of Fayetteville, NY, Janice Sunderhaft (Dave) of Henderson, NV, Carol Couse of East Syracuse, NY, Cindy Ezell (Greg) of Punta Gorda, FL and Georgia Baker (Clayton) of Brewerton, NY. He is also survived by 34 grandchildren; and 44 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church -Plainville (206 N Washington St, Plainville, KS 67663). A rosary will be held on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
