It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lucille Marjorie Prater of Plainville, Kansas, who passed away on June 1, 2025, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Pfannkuch and Barbara Pfannkuch (Schauer); her spouse Leman Dwight Prater; her siblings, Erwin and Maxine Zaltosky; and her nephews, Craig and Ricky Zaltosky.
She is survived by: her children, Dixie Prater Odum of Hays and Randy Prater (Kim) of Plainville; her grandchildren, Shane Odum of Parker, CO, Sarah Odum of Wood-Ridge, NJ, Angie Norton (John) of Schoenchen, KS and Justin Prater (Andee) of Plainville; her stepgrandchildren, Tristan Houser (Carissa) of Hays, Trever Houser (Kaelyn) of Plainville and Brianna Bloom (Dylan) of Wamego, KS; her great grandchildren, Jackson Norton and Corbyn Marquess; and her stepgreat-grandchildren, Brooks Houser, Cole Anderson and Cailyn Houser.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Plumer-Overlease Funeral Home (320 2nd St SW, Plainville, KS 67663). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM and from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM at the United Methodist Church - Plainville (1002 Madison St S, Plainville, KS 67663).
