He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert T. Walz and Leona L. Walz (Shubert); his sisters, Dolores Elliott, Diann Langley and Judy Phillips; and his nephews, Randy Elliott and Jason Langley.
He is survived by: his daughters, Laura McGee (Jeff) of Palco and Ann Knipp (Mark) of Damar; his sister Peggy Blackburn of Russell; and his brother-in-law Bert Phillips of Ellis. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Memorials are suggested to the Ellis Recreation Commission for upkeep of the East 9th Street ballpark and may be sent to Plumer-Overlease Funeral Home, 320 SW 2nd, Plainville, KS 67663.
