It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Martha L Abernathy of Plevna, Kansas, who passed away on July 4, 2024, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clair Gagnebin and Bonnie Gagnebin; her siblings, Tom and Jerry Taylor; and her son Brian Cooper.
She is survived by: her husband David Abernathy of Plevna; her sons, Brady Cooper (Tiffany), Jason Abernathy and Justin Abernathy; her grandchildren, Jacob Cooper (Shelby), Tasha Dieker (Dan), Mackala Herrin (Chris), Adrianna Cooper, Autumn Griffith, Lillie Griffith, Caedan Griffith and Aspen Abernathy; and her siblings, Bonnie Hutchinson (Gary), Russell Gagnebin (Shirley), Glenn Gagnebin (Donna) and Ron Gagnebin. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Westside Baptist Church, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
