With sadness, we share the passing of Doris Darlene Heckman of Pomona, Kansas. Doris, born on January 28, 1944, passed away on October 24, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alice Evelyn and Chester Lee Ray; her grandmother Elsie McFarland-Cain; and her stepgrandfather Oscar Cain. She is survived by: her husband Earl Eugene Heckman; her daughters, Teresa Elliston (John) and Lisha Heckman (John Kunkel); her grandsons, Lukas Hobbs (Karrie) and Lathen Hobbs (Tyla Brown); her great grandchildren, Brylie Hobbs, Waylon Hobbs and Isabella Hobbs; and her cousin Pat Maxwell.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, November 5th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Highland Cemetery (1050 E 15th St, Ottawa, KS 66067).
