It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edward Mathis (Prairie Village, Kansas), who passed away on October 18, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Edward is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Mathis and Lula Mathis; his grandfather Mosby; and his brother John Franklin. He is survived by: his children, Stephanie Hearrold (Bill) and Robert Mathis (Heather); his grandchildren, Nicholas and Emily; his sister Joyce Greer; and his pet Abby.
