Though Ellen Ann may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Dorothy Linscott Humphrey and Dr. Stanley Humphrey; and her husband Robert Wainwright. She is survived by: her children, Brian R. Wainwright (Tammy Ljungblad Wainwright) of Lenexa, Kansas. and Laura Moore (Scott Moore) of Kansas City; her grandson Brett Wainwright; her grandchild-in-law Vika Wainwright of Lawrence, Kansas.; and her brother Fred Humphrey (Ruth Anne Rich) of Kansas City.
A funeral service was held on Monday, August 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Nall Avenue Baptist Church (6701 Nall Ave, Prairie Village, KS 66208).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to her church, Nall Avenue Baptist Church.
