She was predeceased by: her parents, Lester Thurston and Pearline Thurston; her sister Kim Shutters; and her nephew Larry Shirley. She is survived by: her husband Rex Brown; her children, Jason Brown (Nicole) and Katie Hueston (Kenny); her grandchildren, Maddie Brown, Curtis Brown, Carlie Brown and Macie Hueston; her great grandchildren, Dawson and Liam Sterling; and her siblings, Gary "Red" Thurston, Shirley "Shan" Goltra, Randy "Billy" Thurston and David "Ernie" Thurston. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Care to Share and may be left in care of the Cheney Witt Chapel, PO Box 347, 201 S. Main St., Fort Scott, KS 66701.
