She was predeceased by : her parents, Artie Chanay and Helen Chanay (King); her husband Melvin Stockard; her son Rodney Stockard; her grandson Kristopher Stockard; and her siblings, Merle, Keith, Marlin Chanay and Leila Stovall.

She is survived by : her children, Ronald Stockard (Karla) and Lori Brockus (Larry); her siblings, Mary Ryburn and Larry Chanay (Julia); and her siblings-in-law, Bernard Stovall, Helen and Betty Chanay.
