With solemn reverence, we commemorate Etta Clayton of Quinter, Kansas, born in McClave, Colorado, whose life came to an end on December 14, 2025 at the age of 96, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Wertz and Pearl Wertz (Root); her husband Lawrence Clayton; her daughter Loretta Johnson; her sons-in-law, Roy Johnson and Wayne Burgess; her grandchildren, Clayton Burgess and Brianna Noecker; and her great grandchild Autumn Brassfield.
She is survived by: her daughters, Cheryl Baldwin (Lee) of Quinter, KS, Vicki Burgess of Hasty, CO and Valerie Noecker (Tim) of Quinter, KS; and her siblings, Ivon Wertz and Wanda Lutz (John). She is also survived by eight grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and numerous great-great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Lamar Area Hospice and/or St. Jude's Children's Hospital either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
