It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nona Rae Jones Thompson of Reading, Kansas, who passed away on August 31, 2023, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, John Neff and Bertha Neff (Bryden); her former spouse Dean E. Jones; her husband Duane Thompson; and her grandson Jack Felton.

She is survived by: her children, David N. Jones (Terry) of Buckeye, AZ, Diane Warta (Darrell) of Wichita, KS and Mary Ann Newton of Reading, KS; and her stepson Perry Thompson (Kim) of Osage City, KS. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

A memorial has been established with Hand In Hand Hospice, Emporia, with contributions sent through the funeral home, PO Box #175, Emporia, Kansas 66801.
