He was predeceased by: his parents, Orbie J. Patton and Nellie W. Skinner (Jones); his wife Nancy; his siblings, Mary Peirce and Beach Skinner; and his former wife Kay Crider.
He is survived by: his children, JoAnna Helm (Daryl) of Garnett, Janice Elgin (Ron) of Bullard, Angie Goff (Rob) of Shawnee Park, Kansas, Mark Patton of Independence and Mike Patton (Cindy) of Mayflower, Arkansas; and his sisters, Donna Jean Metzger of Laurie, Pam McCoy of Monrovia and Charline Weatherford of Vail, Arizona.. He is also survived by his children and grandchildren.
He retired in 1984, having made meaningful contributions to both the company and his colleagues.
