With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Carol Shorman (Riley, Kansas), born in Washington, Kansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 16, 2026 at the age of 86. She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecil Leidig and Dorothy Leidig (Finch); her husband Robert "Bill" William Shorman; her siblings, Joyal Crain, Marvel Boston, Wilma Leidig-Leatherwood, Celia Schmidt, Linda Leidig and Lonnie Leidig; and her brothers-in-law, Robert Boston, Ernie Scheetz and Maceo Leatherwood.
She is survived by: her children, Gene Shorman (Debra) of McPherson, Rex W. Shorman of Pearland and Ruth Sanders (Daren) of Wells, Kansas; her siblings, Zetta Scheetz of Fairbury, Nebraska and Jerry Leidig (Susan) of Salina, Kansas; and her siblings-in-law, Peggy Leidig of Washington, Kansas and Richard Schmidt of Lincoln, Nebraska. She is also survived by four grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
