She was predeceased by: her parents, Grant Carey and Margaret Carey (Huddleston); her spouse Acie Reeves; her daughter-in-law Lisa Reeves; and her siblings, Ray Carey and Velma Louderback.
She is survived by: her sons, David Reeves (Gayle) of Williamsburg and Eugene Reeves of Raymore, Missouri.; her siblings, Wilma Atchison (Ron) of Princeton, Virginia Lancaster of Ottawa, Kansas and Robert Carey of Princeton, Kansas.; and her grandsons, Jeremy Reeves of Raymore, Ryan McFarland (Amber) of Emporia and Daryl McFarland (Sara) of Assaria. She is also survived by four great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Dengel & Son Mortuary - Crematory (235 S Hickory St, Ottawa, KS 66067). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Princeton Cemetery (1490 US-59, Princeton, KS 66078).
