He was predeceased by: his parents, Ewing Popejoy and Ruby Popejoy (Wheeler); his wife LaVona; his granddaughter Keely Popejoy; and his pet Taffy.
He is survived by: his children, Korla Popejoy, Angela Brickey and Rod Dixon (Linda); his grandchildren, Mike Malcom (Rachel), Jason McCoy (Melissa), Rodney Dixon II (Meagan), Hunter Breth (Erika), Steven Dixon, Blair Wilson (Josh), Blake Brickey, Evelyn Branch (Ray), Katy Popejoy (Richard) and Sarah Popejoy; his great grandchildren, Ella, Hudson, Penelope, Savannah, Rodney III, Reed, Hadley, Archer, Kameron, Kynzi, Izabella, Lylli, Karson, Owen, Gabi Rose, Kody and Kaiden; and his pet Callie.
