He was predeceased by: his parents, Elizabeth Johnson (Wismeyer) and Robert F. Johnson; and his son Robert Griffith "Griff" Johnson. He is survived by: his significant other Judy Johnson (Raitt); his son Matthew Raitt Johnson; and his siblings, Bill Johnson (Jenny) and Kay Highfill (Kenneth). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
