She was predeceased by : her parents, Austin Melvin Sage and Luella May Sage (Olson); her husband Garold "Gene" Nichols of Oklahoma; her brother Melvin D. Sage; her adoptive son Dalton R. Nichols; and her great grandchild Alex Nichols.

She is survived by : her former life partner Kenneth Ray Smith; her daughters, Sage Nelson (Yvette), Yvonne Church (Montie) of Trimble, MO and Yolande Nichols; her grandsons, Jeramy Matyak Lyndon (Veronica), Aaron Church of Trimble, MO, Kyle Bennett (Bethaney), Shawnee, Quinton Church of Liberty, MO and Cameron Church (Brancey) of Minneapolis, KS; her adoptive daughters, Karey Nichols, Katey Westfall (Matt) and Delia; her granddaughter Zoey Nichols; her great grandchildren, Lillian Nichols, Josamee Adams, Aria and Remi Bennett; her sister-in-law Loretta Sage; and her nephews, Bryan Sage (Robin) and Dan Sage (Lisa). She is also survived by many great nieces/nephews and cousins.
