Bender of Russell, Kansas, born in Wichita, Kansas, who passed away on July 7, 2022, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Donald Fowler and Lyla Fowler (Bruner); her son Jason Battaglear; and her brothers, Larry Fowler and Mike Fowler.

She is survived by : her husband Larry Bender; her son Eric Battaglear (Missy) of Hoisington, Kansas; her siblings, Ron Fowler (Glenna) of Valley Center, Patrick Fowler (Karen) of Hillsboro, Kansas, Carolyn Stock (Keith Unterseher) of Flippin and Anita Davis (Denny) of Wichita, Kansas; her grandchildren, Jerica Battaglear, Stephanie Horton (Brian), Jason Battaglear and Danny Battaglear (Samantha Duran); and her great grandchildren, Isabella Mickle, Danica Horton, Aurora Horton and Westin Lee Battaglear. She is also survived by six nieces and four nephews.

A Memorial has been established as the Dona Bender Memorial Fund.
