He was predeceased by: his son Terry Batt; and his sister Arletta Batt. He is survived by: his wife Ellen Boxberger; his son Tom Batt (Sandy) of Russell, Kansas; his sister Shirley Dewald of Russell, Kansas; his grandsons, Christopher Batt and Cody Batt; his stepgrandsons, Craig Boos and Jakob Boos; his great grandchildren, Sophia Batt, Hagen Batt and Cheyenne Batt; and his stepgreat-grandchild Claire Boos.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. John Lutheran Church of Russell (425 N Main St, Russell, KS 67665).
A memorial has been established with the Trinity Bender Hill Cemetery Fund.
