He was predeceased by : his parents, John E., Sr. and Helen S. Simmons (Simacek); his wife Elizabeth Ann Reynolds; and his siblings, Glenn E., Keith Simmons and Leona Haney.
He is survived by : his grandchildren, Victoria, Jeffery, Travis, Lisa, Chris, Devin, Anthony, Teri, Miko, Dalton, Alec, Karli, Hannah, Kane, Belinda, Amanda, Annetta, Nichole, Matthew, Johnie and Kristopher; and his children, Terrie Ploutz (Jeff) of Russell, Carrie Ferry (Tim) of Osmond, Nebraska and Robert Reynolds of Pierce, Nebraska. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 62 great grandchildren, friends, and a large adopted family.
