He was predeceased by : his father Gerald Boomhower; and his daughter Valerie Boomhower. He is survived by : his mother Virginia Boomhower (Tauscher) of Russell, Kansas; his wife Kathy Curtis of Russell, Kansas; his children, Bailey Boomhower (Mitch) of Phillipsburg, Kansas, Jesse Boomhower (Kelli) of Russell and Wyatt Boomhower (Keena) of Ashland, Kansas; his sisters, Lisa Moubry (Brian) of Bunker Hill and Denise VanDegrift (Tom) of Luray, Kansas; and his grandchild Avery Boomhower.

A Memorial has been established with the Russell Community Thanksgiving Dinner.
