It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marvel J. Castor of Russell, Kansas, who passed away on February 1, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Marvel J. Castor to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Albert Lyle and Helen Lorene Mitchell (Orr); her husband Derril; and her brothers, Doyle Mitchell and Gerald Mitchell.

She is survived by : her children, Mitch Castor of Prairie Village, Kansas and Lezlee Ivy (Eric) of Parkville, Missouri; her grandsons, Connor Castor, Nick Castor, Brock Ivy and Tate Ivy; her sister-in-law Kathy Mitchell (Gary Chubb) of Lee's Summit; her sons, David Mitchell (Shabnam) and Phil Mitchell (Lauren); and her nieces, Jolene Kats (Rex), Joyce Matal (Joe) and Dodie Mitchell.

Memorials may be given to the Marvel and Derril Castor Fund at the Russell County Area Community Foundation and sent in care of the mortuary.
