She was predeceased by: her parents, Francis Ray and Blanche Estelle Caprez (Shaffer); her husband Jack Leroy Hutchison; her daughter Dallas Hutchison; and her siblings, Francis Caprez, Veda Wanasek, Lottie Boyd and Darlene Taylor.
She is survived by: her children, Judith Tomei (Michael) of Lawrence, Jill Kerr (Richard) of Russell and John Hutchison (Tamara) of Quinter, Kansas; her brother Conrad Caprez (Connie) of Placentia, California; and her grandchildren, Nicholas, Patrick, Christopher Tomei, Jeremiah, Jade, Jarin Kerr, Adam and Heath Hutchison.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 12th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM at the Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary (610 N Maple St, Russell, KS 67665). A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be given to the Order of the Eastern Star and sent in care of the mortuary.
