He was predeceased by : his parents, Erich Epple and Freda Epple (Wenger); his siblings, Lila Epple and Clyde Epple; and his granddaughter Jo Boyce.

He is survived by : his wife Lola Epple of Sabetha; his children, Dawn Engels, Patricia Sutherland (Scott), Steve Epple (Tammy) of Sabetha and Tim Epple (Chris) of Grimes, Iowa; his siblings, Evelyn Meacham (Jim) of Arizona and Gale Epple of Sabetha; his sister-in-law Karla Epple of Sabetha; and his grandchildren, Christie Strahm (Brian), Lisa Roudybush (Matt), Eric Peterson, Erin Fraser (Curtis), Shane Peterson (Chrystina), Phillip Holt (Brenda), Melissa Millsap (Keith Smith), Chris, Zach Epple, Britni Epple, Ryan Lane (Jessi), Kavon Epple, Lauren Schrader (Dustin) and Tanner Epple. He is also survived by 27 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchildren.
